Description

WAGO, a global leader in spring pressure connection technology, is headquartered in Minden, Germany with offices in over 80 countries. WAGO’s CAGE CLAMP® technology has been innovating electrical interconnection and industrial automation systems for over 60 years. For more than 60 years, WAGO has combined engineering with innovation and, as a reliable partner, strengthened its customers in all their challenges. The result is new products and holistic solutions that everyone can rely on.

What is the theme of your booth at Automation Expo 2018?

The theme is ‘Your Partner for the Transformation’. The manufacturing industry is confronted with new demands and challenges: Simultaneous cost reduction and performance improvement, Industry 4.0 and more flexible production. In these times of transformation, WAGO is your expert guide, supporting you with innovative solutions and reliable products – in all areas of production.

What are the new products that you will showcase and their USP?

We are showcasing the following product lines:

WAGO I/O Systems • Fieldbus-independent: Compatible with all standard fieldbus protocols and Ethernet standards • Wide variety of I/O modules available for nearly every application • International and national approvals for worldwide use • Extensive range of accessories for marking and connection technology • IP20 I/O systems – equipped with CAGE CLAMP® technology for rapid, vibration-proof, maintenance-free connections, and • IP67 I/O system – fully encapsulated and completely shielded for harsh environment.

Power Supply Modules: WAGO’s efficient power supplies always deliver a constant supply voltage – whether it's for simple applications or for automation with greater power requirements. WAGO offers uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), buffer modules, redundancy modules and a wide range of electronic circuit breakers (ECBs) as a complete system for seamless upgrades. • Single- and three-phase power supplies for temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C (40 ... +158°F) • Output variants: 5 … 48 VDC and/or 24 … 960 W (1 … 40 A) • Globally approved for use in various applications, and • Complete power supply system includes components such as UPS, capacitive buffer modules, electronic circuit breakers, redundancy modules and DC/DC converters.

WAGO Controllers: It is essential that traditional security measures, such as firewalls, password protection, and individual user rights, protect data within locations from unauthorised access. WAGO’s PFC100 and PFC200 Controllers encrypt data via onboard SSL/TLS 1.2 security protocols and also securely transmit data to the cloud via a VPN tunnel.

How compatible are these with existing set up as well as current trends?

In future, production will be networked and intelligent; it will control and optimise itself, semi-autonomously, making it resource-efficient. For the transformation to an “intelligent factory,” the existing processes will be networked, and all products, machines and process data will be recorded. Automation solutions, such as the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750, are available for capturing and transferring data into a ‘Manufacturing Execution System’ (MES) or product management system. What’s more, all solutions from WAGO are scalable and compatible to existing systems to realize the goal of operational excellence.

What is your message to the visitors at Automation Expo 2018?

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at WAGO. Join us at E-6, Hall 1 to experience how WAGO enables future ready flexible production with automated production technology. Trust arises when connections are strong and reliable. That's why we work every day to improve relationships with our partners by making their connections safer, stronger and more efficient.
