Universal Network Management System for Central Management

PLANET’s Industrial Ethernet Managed Switches are incorporated with UNI-NMS that can auto-detect all the wired, wireless and PoE industrial-grade networking devices compliant with the SNMP Protocol, ONVIF Protocol or PLANET Smart Discovery Utility and enables the administrator to centrally manage from a central office, greatly boosting network and power management efficiency. With its user authentication management, UNI-NMS enhances data transmission security in the modern factory automation systems.

 

Modbus, EtherCAT and PROFINET Communications Facilitate Factory Automation

To help upgrade smart factory automated networks, industrial serial to Ethernet gateways and DI and DO gateways seamlessly convert the traditional RS232/RS422/RS485 serial devices, digital I/O modules and other data acquisition systems in factory floors to SCADA or HMI Supervisor Systems via Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII, EtherCAT or PROFINET. The administrator can remotely monitor the statistics and status of the networking equipment and connected devices in factory floors, thus achieving real-time monitoring and maintenance of the entire factory.

 

Energy-saving Intelligent PoE Management for Smart Green Factory

Power over Ethernet allows a single cable to transmit both data and power to devices at the distance up to 100 metres, simplifying the cable deployment installation and reducing costs, thus doing away with electrical outlets that are hard to reach. Compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/btPoE standard supplying power from 15.4 to as high as 95 watts, PLANET’s Industrial Ethernet Managed PoE Switches come with intelligent PoE Management and Renewable Power System to realize efficient high power network even in remote spaces.

 

Reliable Data Redundancy Secures Continuous Operation

PLANET’s Industrial Ethernet Managed Solution supports redundant ring technology and features strong, rapid self-recovery capability to prevent interruptions and external intrusions. It incorporates advanced ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) technology, Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1s MSTP), IEEE 1588v2 PTP (Precision Time Protocol) and redundant power input system into industrial automation networks to enhance system reliability and uptime in harsh factory environments. In a simple ring network, the recovery time of data link can be as fast as 10ms.

 

Hardened Design Protection for Heavy Industrial Environment

Under the mission-critical factory environments, PLANET’s Industrial Ethernet Solution with IP40 or IP67 rugged case withstanding wide operating temperature range of -40~75°C provides protection against solid objects, dust and the effect of immersion, thus making operations stable and reliable.
